“I hated poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and I can change that (poverty). It depends upon how hard I want to work, and I decided that I would change it.”
Dr. Ben Carson
Reflection

In this quote by Ben Carson he states “I hated poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and I can change that (poverty). It depends upon how hard I want to work, and I decided that I would change it.” To this meant a special meaning to Dr. Carson but in his mind this meant everything. He is saying that no matter how deep you are in trouble that there is always a way out .That you don’t need help from others that you can do it by yourself. You can change the world like nobody else. He is the reason that so many lives were saved. That when he felt down he got back up and no matter how tough he got he pushed pushed till the end.

“You can’t be right by doing wrong; you can’t be wrong by doing right.”
                                              Thomas S. Monson

Reflection
In this quote by Thomas S. Monson, He writes “You can’t be right by doing wrong; you can’t be wrong by doing right.” In this quote it tells us how you can’t be doing wrong and do right and vice versa but what he’s also trying to say is that when is has the feeling of wrong or if it wrong then it’s not choosing the right. It’s also saying that when you know it’s wrong then don’t do it because having to deal with something wrong in your mind will cause you to do more wrong things.

“I wasn’t trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what’s right.”
Dean Smith
Reflection

In this quote by Dean Smith, “I wasn’t trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what’s right.” HE tells how he wasn’t even trying to leave anything behind him that he was just trying to be a good coach. With that in mind, he’s trying to tell us that just being a good person can leave a legacy you did not expect and change people around the world by just doing the right thing.
