I think I would like to work as a mental illness specialist because they work with patients who don’t only need help but they try to fix them into a proper manner. I think this is an interesting career and I would like to work as a mental illness specialist one day.

Military Medical Opportunities

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist a psychiatric with drug and alcohol patients and to collect physical and psychosocial data and most importantly are to talk and have a conversation about their problems and how they are feeling.

10 weeks of basic combat training and 20 weeks with individual training.

Reflection

I think this is a very interesting job and or career knowing you will be traveling yet still be a psychiatric in the army but I would like to work as a Mental health specialist and I think it’s very interesting.

Medical Illustrator

Medical illustrators are people who work in the medical field yet they usually make drawing and pictures for textbooks and others to be used by physicians and students.

Reflection

I think I would not be able to be a medical illustrator because I do not like drawing and I do not feel comfortable drawing things that are in the medical field such as human body parts and limbs. But I think it would be an interesting topic to research on and to discover because I didn’t know that that there are medical illustrators out there.

Psychiatric

A psychiatrist is a physician who specializes in the opinion, treatment, and prevention of mental health and emotional problems.

You will need your high school diploma, medical school for the classes that are most used or required in the type of medical field you are in. And you have to pass a difficult examination.

Reflection

I would like to specialize or I might like to take up on this career or job because it is an interesting subject and I always liked to learn about the mind and the brain.

Oncologist

A doctor who specializes in cancer and the three main types of cancer surgical, medical, and radiation .Different types of Oncologists work together on a cancer patient.

This career requires residency and a medical degree and general medical training.

Reflection

I would like to be an Oncologist because I see it as an opportunity and a non-boring career because cancer is an incurable thing but too some it is curable. I would love to work with a well-funded and interesting career because of the mystery of cancer.

Dermatologist

Dermatologists study in preventing, identifying, and treating skin diseases and conditions

Reflection

I would like to be a Dermatologist mainly for the focus of Exploring New Diseases and Because of the Income plus it’s also interesting to learn. I think being a Dermatologist is An Interesting job and it interests me.

Dental Lab Technician

They work with dentists by following written instructions and by using molds of the patients teeth.

Reflection

I would not like to work as a Dental Lab Technician simply because i have no interest and its very low pay. In my opinion I do not find myself working with molds of peoples teeth and working for a Dentist .

Dentist

Dentists are responsible for finding and treating problems involving the teeth, gums, and tissue in the mouth.

Becoming a dentist involves the completion of a science-related undergraduate degree program. Seeking dentists then attend dental school to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). Reflection:

I would not like to be a dentist because I don’t have any interest in anything considering oral related because I don’t find it interesting to learn. All though I do like the pay and someday it might be interesting to learn but now I have no interest.

Counseling / Psychotherapy

Duties and Responsibilities:

Counselor’s help people discover feelings and emotions that are often connected to their experiences.

Salary:  $66,040 to $72,310

Education:

You need a master’s degree in Psychology and a specialist’s degree in psychology.

Reflection:

I would like to be a psychologist because I find it interesting on how people talk deeply about their feelings and how your thoughts are free in your work place and I find it intriguing when psychotherapist talk to people because they know more about us than we know our selves but I would like to work as a psychotherapists even though I don’t like the income.

Yoga Therapist

Duties and responsibilities:

Yoga therapists work with clients allowing them to improve health and wellness using yoga practices and traditions.

Salary: $36,900-$66,530+

Education:

Yoga therapists must form on a basis in anatomy, basic physiology, and modern healthcare terminology.

Reflection:

I would not like to be a yoga therapist because I don’t find much interest into yoga as many people do. Because I find the subject very odd and weird do to the way people can be so flexible. I would like to learn about how much flexibility people have to be able to have yoga lessons.

Chromo therapy or Color Therapy

Duties and responsibilities:

Color therapists believe that they can use light in the form of color, to balance energy to help physical, mental or emotional problems.

Salary: Starting from $39,000 up to $149,000

Education:

To become a color therapist, you will need to have patience and understanding, and out-standing communication skills. As most color therapists are self-employed, it will also help if you have some skills and knowledge of running a business.

Reflection: I would not like to take or work as a color therapist or other known as Chromotherapy because I don’t see myself working as an color therapist yet it is interesting and I would like to take time and learn about this but not have a career in this job.

                                                         Games Designer

Duties and Responsibilities:

They do many things such as: rules of the game, the setting story and characters props such as weapons and vehicles, and different ways the game may be played.

Salary: $45,000 to $59,000

Education:

High school students who consider them aspiring video game designers should follow a college preparatory or technical track curriculum. Whenever possible, courses should at least be advanced mathematics, including analytic geometry, linear algebra, trigonometry and calculus. Computer programming classes, writing and liberal arts are also important. Most colleges and universities require you to take the SAT or ACT prior to admission.

Reflection:

I would like to be a games designer because it seems interesting and I have a lot of experience in games so I think it’ll be lots of fun but games designer don’t have a lot of profit as I can see. But it sounds very cool and interesting in my opinion.

   Chinese (Oriental) Medicine

Duties and responsibilities:

They track symptoms to patterns of basic conflict, by measuring the pulse, identifying the tongue, skin, and eyes, and observing their eating and sleeping habits of the person as well as many other things.

Salary: Between $43,000 to $60,000+

Education:                                   

At very well facilities such as the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, you can study to be a registered acupuncturist, a TCM practitioner, or receive a Doctorate of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Reflection:

 I would like to take a step into Chinese medicine because it’s an interesting subject and it’s also interesting learn about how these weird traditional things work and why they work. But even though it’s not a very well-paying job it’s certainly a very well interesting job.

Cellular Therapy

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs any and all required processing and testing required to make and have safe and efficient products.

Salary: $36,000 to $48,000

Education:

A relevant college degree and applicable experience in a clinical laboratory, hematology, blood banking, and immunology.

 

Reflection

I wouldn’t like to be a cellular therapist because it does not seem very interesting and I do not feel the effort for this career.

                         Cardiologist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Cardiologists are medical doctors who work to stop, detect and treat diseases of the cardiovascular system.

Salary: Between $461,000 to $512,000+

Education:

Complete a pre-med bachelor’s degree then an M. D. Degree (Medical Doctor Degree) and 2 to 3 years of cardiology residency.

Reflection:

I think I would like to take a toll into this education or this career because the salary is great and the subject is interesting in most ways.

Trauma Nurses

Duties and responsibilities:

Regular tasks of trauma nurses are to take care of minor and agonizing problems, prepare patients for an emergency operation, and assist surgeons during an operation.

Salary: Between $60,000 and $90,000+

Education:

You need proper training .An associate’s degree .And you need special training such as intensive care nursing, before one can secure employment in a trauma unit.

Reflection:

I would not like to be one simply because I can’t handle situations or problems that have such gore and blood. But I do handle situations that seem horrific in a very calm way.
